Calling Back series is a continuation of the Selk’nam Footprint installation presented by Tere Chad in Neo Norte 1.0, Santiago, Chile (2018) and Selk’nam Calling installation showcased in Neo Norte 2.0, London, United Kingdom (2019). Through Selk’nam Calling visitors listen to the Selk’nam’s chant from 1923. The Selk’nam were a tribe from Patagonia extinguished through a genocide. The musical archives were on loan by Ethnologisches Museum, Staatliche Museen zu Berlin Preussischer Kulturbesitz.  The series Calling Back presents the red telephone boxes, an icon of the British industrial era, with aboriginal peoples around the world affected by colonisation. The series not only commemorates the centenary of the first telephone box in England but also reflects upon what has vanished and what remains in our postcolonial Era. 10 prints from this series have been acquired by Nelimarkka-Foundation Collection.
